I arrived to a friendly, warm welcome. The staff seemed attentive to customer needs. The room was clean and tidy. I appreciated the free parking at the front of the building.
The bedside table lights did not work, only the main light was functional.

The hotel stands back from the road. It is very quiet because of the distance. The hotel offers good WiFi. The building has a lovely garden with seating.

The full English breakfast included nice bacon. I was pleased with the quality of the breakfast. A restaurant sits across the road. This provided a convenient dining option.

acceptable stay with some issues

the staff were friendly (which i did appreciate).
the room was quite small, and it seemed impossible to turn off the radiator in the bathroom. i found this very uncomfortable. the bed sheet came untucked during the night.
